The Law of Assumption

The Law of Assumption, like the Law of Attraction, is a Universal Law that people can take advantage of to manifest their dreams. Simply put, the Law of Assumption states that if you assume that you are living in the reality you would like to live in, you will live in that desired reality.

The Law of Assumption and Law of Attraction work together in the sense that once you are assuming that you live in the reality that you desire, you will be in alignment with that reality and you will attract it to you.

Oftentimes people like to separate the Law of Assumption and the Law of Attraction, but they work really well together and both are used for manifesting the life you want to live.

How To Use The Law of Assumption

In order to use the Law of Assumption, you must, as the name implies, assume that you are living in the reality that you want to exist in. You do this by acting as if, thinking as if, and feeling as if it is already done.

When you act, think, and feel as if your desire is already done, and affirm to yourself that you are already living your desire, your assumption becomes reality. In order to assume you are living the desired reality, you must convince yourself that you are, in fact, living your desired reality.

This may seem counterproductive, but in order to create the reality you want, you have to, well, create that reality. You do this by living it in your mind and imagination before you live it in the 3D Reality.

How To Act As If

“Acting As If” is one of the best exercises for manifesting the life that you desire. You do this by deciding what kind of person you want to be, and then showing up as that person. 

If you want to be a successful blogger, treat blogging as a business and blog like a professional blogger would. Set schedules and follow them, learn SEO, market, and write incredibly helpful blog posts. 

If you want to go on a date with someone, or manifest a life partner, write love notes to yourself from that partner and write love notes from yourself to that partner. Go on dates with yourself and pretend you’re going on a date with your partner. Buy yourself flowers. Get all gussied up for your lover. 

If you want to be an athlete, follow the routines professional athletes follow. Use their exercise routines and eat the same diet they do. Put yourself in the shoes of an athlete. Don’t forget to sign up for coaching in the sport you want to achieve high goals in! Workout everyday and be the star athlete you want to be.

How To Think As If

“Thinking As If” is putting your mind in the shoes of the person you want to be. You want to think the same thoughts that person would think, now. Think thoughts you would if you were living the life you want to.

Affirm to yourself in your mind that you are happy and wonderful things are happening.

Use the “Isn’t It Wonderful” technique to remind yourself that things are wonderful. 

Remind yourself that your life is incredible, make the decisions the person you want to be would make, think in the mindset of that person. 

If you want to manifest love, tell yourself that you love how your lover shows up with flowers every time they see you.

If you want to be a blogger, think about what your next blog post should be and how you should market it.

If you want to be an athlete, consider the techniques you can use in your sport and practice them in your mind.

Imagine that you are living the life you want to live before you live it.

How To Feel As If

“Feeling As If” is when you put your heart in the frame of the person you want to be. You want to feel the emotions of your success, gratitude, and joy even before you experience them.

You can feel as if by watching things that make you happy, listening to songs that make you feel in love, and remembering all of the things that you are grateful for.

When you are feeling the emotions you want to feel when you have what you desire, you want to imagine the thing that you desire and feel as if you already have it.

The “Isn’t It Wonderful” technique can be used here, too. You want to meditate on these good feelings and remind yourself that things are wonderful.

The Law of Assumption Is Fun

While practicing the Law of Assumption you should be having fun. Remember that this is meant to make your life better. 

If you take the time to:

  • act as if 
  • feel as if
  • think as if
  • assume that you are already living your desired reality
  • imagine yourself living in your desired reality in your mind before it shows up in person

 you will find yourself experiencing the things that you want to in no time.
